Benzalkonium Chloride (Bzk)
Benzalkonium chloride, also known as alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride and ADBAC, is a mixture of alkylbenzyldimethylammonium chlorides of various even-numbered alkyl chain lengths. This product is a nitrogenous cationic surface-acting agent belonging to the quaternary ammonium group. It has three main categories of use; as a biocide, a cationic surfactant and phase transfer agent in the chemical industry.

Xylitol
Xylitol is an organic compound with the formula (CHOH)3(CH2OH)2.Xylitol has no known toxicity in humans.
Xylitol is a sugar alcohol sweetener used as a naturally occurring sugar substitute. It is found in the fibers of many fruits and vegetables, and can be extracted from various berries, oats, and mushrooms, as well as fibrous material such as corn husks and sugar cane bagasse. Xylitol is roughly as sweet as sucrose with only two-thirds the food energy.
In rats, xylitol has been found to increase the activity of neutrophils, the white blood cells involved in fighting many bacteria. This effect seems to be quite broad, acting even in cases such as general sepsis.A recent report suggests consumption of xylitol may help control infections of Candida yeast; in contrast, galactose, glucose, and sucrose may increase proliferation.
It has been found that xylitol is capable of selectively inhibiting and/or killing pathogens such as Gardnerella vaginalis without affecting Lactobacilli growth. This compound is therefore suitable for use as an active ingredient in a method of treating and/or preventing vaginal infections, and in particular, bacterial vaginosis.
Polyquaternium-32
This active component disrupted infected leukocytes within 5 minutes which resulted in inhibition of infectious HIV production by infected leukocytes of greater than 25 to 100-fold. These components do not disrupt vaginal epithelial cells in vivo. This component also rapidly inactivate cell-free HIV by 10-to 30-fold.
